Because without the innovative technique that creates the miracle, this show just makes you dream, until after half an hour you bounce back to reality like a ball." Het TheaterFestival 2025 Jury Report "I have never seen so many amazing bouncing balls. Until one ball suddenly stopped bouncing. And I plunged into a universe of magical realism, where balls appear, disappear or float in the air at the same time. The unique concept and the magic of the story make the Ballroom a favorite performance of festival goers." Nik Waldram Tired Day, Yawn Day, Don't Want To Day, Procrastination Day, Imprisonment Day, Too Tired Day, Where's The Sun Day...Somewhere Someone is tasked with putting the same balls in the same box over and over again. Someone does it day after day, year after year, and no one really knows why. Hoping that the walls won't collapse on Somebody, Somebody starts throwing balls at the walls. And so the balls begin to travel further and further through space, sometimes gracefully and deceptively simple, and sometimes powerfully and intricately. If all goes well, they land neatly in the box. But things don't always go well. And how much of that "failure" can someone bear? Then, in order to avoid the colorless monotony, Someone begins to create a new dimension of space and time (or is it only in his head?). And when it succeeds, something happens that can be called true magic. During the performance, you sit in a transformed truck, inside which set designer Lodewijk Heylen created a concrete set. In it, accompanied by the sounds of musicians Jochem Baelus and Frederik Meulyzer, juggler Stijn Grupping creates an incredible ball dance and takes us on a journey of experience. Post uit Hessdalen is a troupe creating unique musical theatre. Its main artists are the filmmaker and circus artist Stijn Grupping and the theater director Ine Van Baelen, who use new performers for each new creative project. In this changing collective environment, the troupe creates hybrid stage works that combine several artistic disciplines: theater, video, visual art, circus, etc., in order to visualize the connections between our senses, powers of understanding and actions.https://www.postuithessdalen.be/
