PREMIERE "DUCK, DEATH AND TULIP" A performance for children and their parents.Life is full of meetings. The bee meets the ring. The bird is the sky. Rain - earth. River - bank. Some meetings go unnoticed, others change us for life.
However, there is one meeting that I am afraid to talk about.
The play "DUCK, DEATH AND TULIP" opens the world of the Duck, where the days pass almost unchanged. Here, everything seems self-evident - small morning rituals, time passing calmly and a world where every thing has its place. Only from time to time, Duck is visited by a strange feeling, as if there is something nearby that she cannot yet understand.
And one day, what was only a feeling for a long time, takes shape - Duck meets Death.
Calm, patient, not at all like the one we are used to imagining.
The river becomes the narrator of this story. Her voice accompanies Antia and the audience from the first to the last moments of the performance.
This is a performance for children and their parents. He does not talk about death as a fear or try to explain it away. This is a story about life and the courage to ask questions that don't always have answers. Sometimes it's enough to just accept them and talk about them.
The performance is based on the world-renowned German writer and illustrator Wolf Erlbruch's picture book "Duck, Death and Tulip". Translated into more than 30 languages, the work has become one of the most outstanding classics of modern children's literature and continues to inspire children and adults around the world to this day.
