Long-time dancer of the Pina Bausch troupe Daphnis Kokkinos (Germany) together with the Sheik Dance Theater presents a dedication to the great Dance Teachers. In 2020, the 80th anniversary of the birth of the legendary choreographer who gave the aesthetics of dance theater - Pina Bausch - was celebrated all over the world. In order to contribute to the commemoration of this date and bring together professionals and the Neringa community, the Šeikos Dance Theater invited Mr. Bausch's dancer and choreographer
Daphnis Kokkinos to create a performance on the Parnidis dune. Daphnis nurtures Bausch's tradition of movement and aesthetics, creating plays and performances based on her aesthetics all over the world.
"I have to admit - I was overwhelmed by the beauty of the place. Nature in the Curonian Spit is magnificent. When I visited, the waves were raging in the sea and the wind was blowing strong - take it and dance - you don't even need music. In the dunes, which are very close, the mood is different, mystical. I really didn't expect to be so affected."

The play was created in Nida, at the "Land of N" festival. In the natural scenery of the Great Dunes, ten professional dancers, the Nida dance collective "Kalnapusė" and the community of Neringa are involved in the creative process.
