Jo Strømgren (b. 1970) is a Norwegian-born choreographer, director and playwright. His work is characterized by interdisciplinarity, physical humor and nonsensical language. The creator is known to Lithuania since the beginning of his career with the "Jo Strømgren Kompani" collective - in 1998, the first tour of this collective took place in the Lithuanian National Theater, and in 2001, together with the Lithuanian Dance Information Center, the Lithuanian audience was presented with the performance "Ten" ( English "There") premiere.

In 2018, the director returned to the Lithuanian National Drama Theater and staged the play "Durys", which won even four "Golden Stage Crosses" awards. Currently, the director's second premiere "Ruletė" is being staged at the Lithuanian National Drama Theater. "Pheromones" will be Jo Strømgren's third work in Lithuania with local actors.
