BODY a one-part dance performance
The more technology takes over our everyday life, the more clearly we start to move away from your own body. As the world is created and takes place in our thoughts, heads, eyes, we forget and stop thinking about another essential part of us - the physical body. After all, only he, together with mind and spirit, creates a person as a complex whole. Of course, we can talk about the cult of the body - excessive attention to appearance, but the dance performance "Body" by Marius Pinigis will focus on the body as an instrument that can speak and express a person's inner thoughts.
The dance performance "Bodies" is not based on a play, there is no dramaturgical line here, it becomes an idea: bodily communication is irreplaceable. This thought raises the question of how to awaken bodies, how to enable them to speak again? On the stage of the theater, actors usually convey their thoughts in words, which we take as a reflection of intelligence. This time, the artists recover the forgotten language that is hidden in each of us. Ten actors from different generations step into trials and discussions about shared energy and the changes that occur through communication. After all, dance is not only an attribute of a young person, it does not end at a certain age limit and, even more so, it is not intended only for professionals.
Choreographer Marius Pinigis says: "I think that in a performance of any style or genre it is not always necessary to justify actions logically, after all, in our everyday life there is more irrationality than rationality. If we look at our thoughts, we would not find smooth linear thinking, so "Bodies" consists of scenes based on images, open to the interpretation of the observer. Dancers provide directions, not specific situations and solution options."
"Bodys" invites you to immerse yourself in visuality, not to overload your head with searches for meanings and meanings, and even not to be afraid of not understanding .
