Kehakõne is a warm, cozy performance reminiscent of hug.
“At one point, I realized that Kehakõne is like a big playhouse - the one I made of blankets and sheets in my childhood. This piece and this space provide the same sense of security and unlimited opportunities. The first measures I use for the game are air acrobatics, rites, stories, music, joy and sincerity, ”says its author Grete Gross.
In the Estonian language, "Kehakõne" means "body language" or "body conversation". It can also be understood as "my dear body". The origins of the performance stem from a gentle relationship with your body - keeping it, feeling how much it fits in: stories, memories, life. It seems crazy that all of this can fit in one person. And how do we put together in one space with all these bodies full of stories?
