The new program of the ensemble "Lietuva" is being created by the writer Julija Beniuševičiūtė-Žaimantienė (nickname Žemaitė) to commemorate the birth anniversary of the birth. The curiosity of the storyline is also excited by the spicy life of a woman: at the age of 65, he loved a 30 -year -old man who had a girl's granddaughter and eventually married the daughter of Žemaitė. The surviving letters of Žemaitė testify to the loved one about very strong feelings that influenced her work.

“Žemaitė is primarily a person who not only listened to her inner voice, but also had enough courage to follow it. It is possible to analyze a lot of her biography or people who may have influenced it, but this speculation does not matter. Anyone who wants to know about Samogitia will easily do it with a few clicks on a computer or phone. I am curious that Samogitian is a woman, like me, who allowed myself to hear the authentic "I" and respond to her needs - to create, love and freely live in the context of that time, where many did not dream of it even in the secret fantasies. And this choice is important today, because despite the declared freedom to choose - where to live, what to love, to be a feminist or not to be, to accept his feelings without questioning their kindness or evil - becoming increasingly difficult. I want to create a performance that will present what I feel when I read and think about Samogitia. I share this inspiration for you to look back at yourself, ”says A. Krasauskaitė.

In a project specifically dedicated to the Samogitian Year, the bright, colorful person will reveal the language of motion and symbols. The choreography will be dominated by classic, neoclassical and contemporary dances, and the dynamic mass scenes will be replaced by duets and solo compositions, which will be performed by the Lithuanian dancers' troupe. Modern choreography, intertwined with the motifs of Ethno, is supplemented with Lithuanian folk customs will strengthen the images of the city/village, which are inseparable aspects of the writer's life. The atmosphere created by the scenography will allow you to empathize with the multi -faceted personality of the main character of the performance, Žemaitė. The performance will feature motifs of different composers, as well as Lithuanian folk works.

Literary researchers describe Samogitia as "an active, sensual, hipster -bound scarf, strangely unrelated in the environment and not afraid of radical fractures of life," it is the classic authors that most meet the needs of the present era. In the position of Žemaitė at that time and her questions, she can hear feminism in Lithuania - such as why women earn less than men. Paradoxically, Žemaitė received great support from young intellectuals Povilas Višinskis, Jonas Jablonskis and others, but there was no understanding in the immediate environment.

As you know, Julija Beniuševičiūtė-Žyntienė created about rural realities, relationships, misery and misfortune, brightly described the paintings of nature and aptly depicted different human states. Attentiveness for feelings is something that is particularly attracted to Žemaitė's work. The writer gave birth to new -era Lithuanian prose and the current of realism in Lithuanian literature: the short story "Marti", the story "Petras Kurmelis" and other well -known works, and so far quoted in school programs. However, in the meaning of the creative merits of Žemaitė, the author's own personality and the dramatic story of a woman are less frequently turned.

Director and choreographer A. Krasauskaitė - winner of the Golden Stage Cross and Thanksgiving Mask, who has produced more than eight dance performances in various Lithuanian theaters, has created choreography for projects for ensemble Lietuva such as Musical Drama Emilija, College Opera Mažvydas, Musical Drama About a donated heart "or a dance performance" Dance Symphony from the North Jerusalem "according to Jieras Jasinski's music. The creator for the new project was also inspired by a dance performance "Uncle and Uncle" according to Juozas Tumas-Vaižgantas.

The author of the dramaturgy Kristina Steiblytė, the different works of the musical part will be combined by Silvija Miliūnaitė, light artist Pijus Vasiliauskas.
