Panika - director Kamilė Gudmonaitė's performance based on the play of the same name by contemporary Finnish playwright Mika Myllyah invites you to a provocative and realistic urban universe where real and imagined crises are experienced by today's men. The intelligent and sharp comedy tells the story of three friends who are trying to "get their lives in order". With the help of Eastern practices and psychotherapy, they embark on an absurd, comical and serious journey of self-discovery, which reveals the problematic of masculinity as a social stamp. What challenges do men face today, what do society and family expect from them? What are the demands of this era? What neuroses are hidden under the roles of a strong, family-supporting and dominant man? Director Kamilė Gudmonaitė, who in her works breaks the stereotypes of "normality" imposed by society, promises not only an easily absurd comedy, but also draws attention to the current tensions of social life.

"Although Mika Myllyaho emphasizes that the play analyzes the problematic of masculinity, I am convinced that internal crises have no gender: the three characters are people of our day who, despite successful careers, recognition and "normal" family relationships, still face psychological problems that feverishly trying to deal with it through meditation, psychotherapy, exercise, and other practices. They don't know how to talk, how to name their feelings, and in the words of one character, they are "flooding through the swamp of masculinity and running away from themselves, from their feelings, and their eyes are slowly covered with sadness." The play also talks about mental health, it combines Eastern philosophy and the reality of the Western world, searching for freedom - from the mind, psychological problems, even the constant attempt to "cure something", says director Kamilė Gudmonaitė.
