In the Strange Theater - the real Lithuanian houses in the most true Commedia dell'arte - another play by Carlo Gozzi, a genius Italian playwright, will be reborn in the theater, metaphors, symbols, symbols, music and accurate irony.
In the 16th century, the commedia dell'arte, born in Italy, was soon fascinated by almost all of Europe, and its influence was centuries ahead. The secrets of the unexpected popularity and audiencetity were in masks - characters, each of which was easily recognized in both the smallest village and the most chic city. Still, the same characters were turning in the new whirlpools of passions and local, creating a combination of music, dance and wit.
The spectacular commedia dell'art did not overtake Lithuania either - admittedly, after several centuries late. Genre Master and we will not lie, Carlo Gozzi's deputy in Lithuanian land - director Aidas Giniotis - will introduce our country's viewers to the fifth Commedia dell'arte play!
C. Gozzi's Turquoise Monster in the best tradition of the genre is a bright, sensual, magical and hopeful tragicomedy diving into the whirlwind of love and revenge, deceit and miracle, vital to improvised actors. The mysterious history of Nankin's city could take place in every place in any other place in the world; The events that occur in the characters are universally recognizable and life -like, and here they are so refreshing and magical that boredom in the spectator's hall did not find a place.
The Turquoise Colors Monster and its masked characters invite these days a particularly important action - to see what lies deep inside. It is an allegorical story of authenticity and self -imprisonment masks of everyday life, an invitation not to give in to the fouls of physical bodies and glossy covers, but rather see what is seen when the eyes are closed and open.
