Is it possible to go back to your past? Is it possible to protect yourself from the past catching up and invading your carefully crafted ideal present? Is it possible for the past and the present to collide and not destroy each other? Attempts to find answers to these questions inspired the creator of the plays "Bagadelnia" and "Pakeliui" A. Špilevoj to immerse himself in "Migla", where seeing the world is much more difficult than feeling it.
"Migla" invites the audience to explore , how the same people, their words and deeds can be perceived differently. The play tells the story of a young woman named Emma. After experiencing a life blow and a great disappointment, Emma returns to visit her childhood home, where she remembers herself happy and believing in tomorrow. But a family she doesn't know has been living here for some time, which, of course, is not waiting for Emma at all. Emma is pleasantly introduced to them and ends up in her childhood room. Finally calmed down and feeling well, she can no longer leave here. But how to stay in this safe world of the past and childhood forever? And what about a family that has no desire to accommodate this strange, unpredictable guest in their cozy home, who has brought confusion, coldness and a growing sense of danger into their world?
A. Špilevoj: We have killed God!, German philosopher F. Nietzsche announced more than a hundred years ago. It's just that we still haven't figured out how to continue living without Him. We honestly tried to create universal ideologies, but the camps and deportations made us cringe at them; we tried to find meaning in the progress of science, but it was reduced to ashes by the terrible explosion of the atomic bomb; we tried to go on a fun merry-go-round of buying and consuming, but we paid off when we saw that we ended up drowning our planet in a plastic dump. But wait!, - will say someone who sees the history of mankind in completely different colors. Maybe everything is not at all the way you are trying to portray? Maybe all this is just the last convulsions of Faith? Maybe soon we will create a safe, clear, rational world where there will be no room for darkness, despair, inequality, injustice and even death? Are there really more than one, two, three or a million points of view of what our world looks like and what we look like in it?
