The characters created by Tomas Dirgėla, the most popular children's writer in our country - Domas and Tomas - come out of the pages of books and invite children and their parents to meet in the musical "Domas and Tomas: the case of missing characters". After each performance, the author of the books meets with the children to take pictures and sign the books they brought.

The story of the musical tells how young detectives who are not afraid of danger decide to get to know the world outside the books - but when they embark on a new adventure, the children fall into... a trap. How will Dom, Tom and River defeat the bad guys this time?

The main characters are played by professional actors and singers - Simonas Storpiristis, Šarūnas Januškevičius, Oneida Kunsunga, Lina Rastokaitė, Tomas Žaibus, Paulius Šinkūnas, and we will also see Tomas Dirgėlas, the author of the incredible Dom and Tomas stories, on stage.

Tomas Dirgėla worked on both sides of the new children's musical - both on stage and in the entire creative process.

"It's always fun to see not only the final result, but also how it gets there, starting with the written script, rehearsals, ending with the role on stage and showing the musical on the stages of Lithuanian cities," he says. The writer adds that although works for the stage are not new to him, when creating the script this time it was necessary to think not only about the usual dialogues, but also about the songs. However, he also likes to do this - in his free time from writing, T. Dirgėla plays and sings with another fellow writer.

The author, who received the children's literature prize, is convinced that the musical team are real professionals. Such big projects have always seemed to him a difficult thing to get into, but the preparations for the premiere of the musical "Dom and Tom" are going fast and extremely smoothly.

"I'm most happy about the team's trust: both when they put the script and songwriting of the musical in my hands, as well as for the offer to perform on stage myself. And when you get that much trust, it automatically comes with the desire to do everything as best as possible."

The songs for the musical "Domas ir Tomas: the case of the missing characters" produced by the musical project agency "Pepper Live" were created by the talented composer Faustas Venckus, who works with such popular Lithuanian artists as Jazzu, Mantas Jankavičius, Giedrė and others. The musical is directed by Mantas Verbiejs - his list of works includes such works as the musical "Lituanika", children's plays "The Great Teleportation", "Happiness is a Fox" and others.
