What is happiness? Vacation, kiss, gratitude, life, fulfillment, feelings, travel, freedom, love, fearlessness, conversation, peace, dress, dance, peace, children, knowing that happiness exists...

"Dictionary of Happiness " was born from many answers to what seems to be such a simple but at the same time difficult question, what is happiness. The creators of the show themselves say that happiness was an opportunity for them to ask people what happiness is and to get answers - unexpected, open, romantic, and sometimes very everyday definitions of happiness. Therefore, the play "Happiness Dictionary", like all dictionaries, is made up of words. They are lined up in a neat row. After all, every letter is a disciplined player. But do our feelings of happiness, moods and states easily surrender to the command of order? Can we find a button within ourselves that, when pressed, would experience a surge of happiness? Or is human happiness a mirage, an aspiration, a desire? Maybe happiness is something that we suddenly miss every hour or even minute, like hitting an idol. It's like a constant daily gap, lack, lack. Or maybe real happiness is just thinking, dreaming, walking towards happiness?

"Dictionary of Happiness" will not teach you how to become happy, but through dance and movement, it will reveal the whirlwind of the nature of happiness, to catch which we will get closer to each person inside universes that exist in reality.

The creators of the show were inspired by one interesting and unexpected fact in the biography of the actor Saulius Eduard Pauliukonis - in his youth, Saulius danced in the troupe of the legendary mime Modrios Tenison. Today, the actor on stage relives a similar relationship with body space. The line of Saulius occupies a special place in the play's dramaturgy, but the role of each of the sixteen actors participating in the play is special in its own way.

The "Dictionary of Happiness" was created by an experienced team of famous Lithuanian artists - the winners of the "Golden Stage Crosses" choreographer Agnija Šeiko, set designer Sigita Šimkūnaitė, costume designer Sandra Straukaitė, composer Mantvydas Leonas Pranulis. Playwright Sondra Simana and light painter Andrius Stasiulis have been successfully collaborating with "Sheikos Dance Theater" for several years.

Agnija Šeiko: I am interested in self-archaeology, processes and human journey - in time, in its history, feelings and states. Movement and the body unlock unexpected doors or, in archaeological terms, unearth layers never imagined to be there. Happiness is often misleading, so exploring the concept and meaning of happiness is what interested me the most in this creative process.
