Spektaklis „MEDĖJA”

"Medea" is a vivid building of a classic drama at the Telšiai Samogitian Drama Theater. The performance invites you to get out of the black box and turn to each other. The Telšiai City Amphitheater, an open -air premiere, explores the decisions and ties of a particular individual, how it affects the whole environment. The performance is rich in music as if to seek the inner voice of a person, which should be the wizard in difficulty.

The work talks about misunderstanding with yourself, your family, seeking help and destiny for one with extremely complex solutions. The present time breaks families for a variety of reasons: members of the same family choose to watch different media and knowledge channels, choose to support different sides in military conflicts, close in different social bubbles. In this way, we often do not notice the tragic mental state of the surrounding and choose not to help, to support, but to turn, sometimes even revenge. And while we choose to create our own personal destinies, we close the inconvenience around us. It is an awkward paradox.

This performance is a bold stop for reflection on how we live, how to create a relationship around. And especially the burden of creating a family fireplace by women.

"Medea" is a performance based on Greek and Cartel myths, the classic euripide play and today's interpretations of the creative team.
