Who wouldn't want to know all the other half's secrets? What if the Court were to oblige those secrets to be revealed?
The Court is a crazy one-part comedy about marriage, illusions of long-term relationships, the truth and the betraying...new underwear.
A suspicious wife (Ineta Stasiulytė) invites her husband (Kęstutis Cicėnas) to eat cottage cheese pie, but instead of lunch, they end up going straight to the Courthouse, where they meets the Judge (Larisa Kalpokaitė).
The search for the truth turns into an absurd battle, the most intimate secrets of the house and a pile of accusations. Is it a crime to keep secrets? Who screws cucumbers too hard at home? Is the hole in the underwear proof? True feelings, longing for love and deception are hidden under exaggerated emotions and unfounded accusations. They will all be solved by the Court!
The Court is a comedy full of real, sincere humanity about couples not communicating, male logic, female intuition and the desire to be "right" at any cost. But is true love hidden in the truth?
The play invites the audience to a courtroom full of laughter, where no one is guilty - and everyone is still guilty because they want to be loved.
