The plot of the book is surprising and paradoxical. The wild horse Dominykas, who liked to play hide-and-seek with frogs, meets and falls in love with a beautiful and slightly playful cornflower on a modest Lithuanian lawn. As winter approaches, the horse hides the cornflower under a rock because the frost is trying to freeze it, and he himself sets off to Africa. His journey is interesting and complex. Dominic meets a polar bear, a crocodile, camels, monkeys, a hippopotamus and other characters, listens to their life stories, and teaches them something. Finally Dominykas gets to the cornfield, where his beloved comes from. As spring approaches, Dominykas returns to Lithuania, because his cornflower must sprout again from under the stone. On her birthday, Dominykas gives the name Svajonė to his daughter-in-law.

Vytautas V. Landsbergis' books for children are characterized by unexpected genre connections. The author's text creates a very unique, poetic atmosphere, makes the little reader smile and at the same time think about the essential phenomena of life, important moral values.
