Searching for modernity in the oldest traditions, the director and artist Aušra Bagočiūnaitė Paukšienė, who represents the "artist's theater", is best known to the audience from the performance "Clouds" at the "Lėlės" theater. Lithuanian folk wisdom. The artist creates the performance looking through the prism of feeling the beauty of nature and the world, play, paradox and the magic of everyday life.
We invite you to experience the mysterious world of riddles, where small Lithuanian folklore, mythology and its motifs are intertwined, playfully presented in the language of metaphors and images. According to the director of the play, A. Bagočiūnaitė Paukšienė, "those images are often fantastic, related to unexpected juxtapositions of phenomena and objects. These riddles asked by the actors will reveal the coded world view and wisdom of our ancestors. After all, in ancient times, the ritual solving of riddles or proverbs could be not only a game, a form of competition, a demonstration of wisdom and dexterity, but also a matter of life or death."
