But I didn't know the reason or the details. And it was only in 2013, half a year before his death, that his father made up his mind and wrote the book "In the Forest and on the Stage". When I read the manuscript I was shocked, I just cried. A huge story unfolded in front of me in its tragic scope. Now I understand why my father didn't want to talk about it and remember it. He was just protecting me and my children from the horrors he had to go through, and most importantly, he was protecting us from the Jewish curse.
