Performance Sketch Presentation
"Kehakõne" is a performance reminiscent of a warm embrace, an act of kindness. "At some point I realized that Kehakõne is like a big playhouse that I used to build with blankets and sheets as a child. This piece has the same sense of security and limitless possibilities in space, and the first tools I play with are aerial acrobatics, ceremonies, storytelling, music, joy and sincerity," says Grete Gross about the show.
"Kehakõne" means "body language" or "body discussion" in Estonian. Another possible meaning is "my dear body". And it starts with that sweet feeling I have for my body, holding it, feeling that this body holds so much - stories, memories, life. It seems crazy that so much can fit into one person. And the fact that we can fit so many bodies, full of stories, in one room.
