But how can a mother come to terms with the fact that her children have grown up and learn to live for themselves, take care of themselves, love themselves? According to the director of the play, K. Glušajev, the axis of the play is the theme of a woman and the angle of this theme, when a woman must be good to others: she must be a good wife, a good mother, a good daughter, but she does not know and does not find time how and when to be good to herself. In this way, the mother treats her closest people as weaker than they really are, often even using harmful means in an attempt to control them, presenting it as nurturing and caring. No one ever taught or emphasized this to the mother - it is a rather deep psychological ulcer in our society, in the finale of which a person remains alone with himself and his pain, he does not know how to proceed.
