The director is extremely demanding in his work, just like Kafka himself, who is able to find and not miss a single meaningful thought, phrase, word, evocatively, openly, with theatrical means he immerses the actors in the very essence of the story and allows the viewer to not even understand, but to feel with all his soul what the creator is going through. in his glory hours, how he fights for his idea with viewers who don't understand him and an impresario who manipulates his work. Just like in the short story, Nekrošius' play has a lot of self-irony, subtle, intellectual humor that makes everyone smile. The main role of the Hunger Master is played by Viktorija Kuodytė, who has been playing in Nekrošius' performances since 1994 (Laura - "Mažosios Tragedijos", Irina - "Three Sisters", Ophelia - "Hamlet", etc.).
