This is the story of people who never really should have met, but did - in an imaginary no man's land, existing on the fringes of society, on the edge of every city in the world. . Bernard Marie Koltès (1948-1989) is a French playwright, writer and theater director, best known to theatergoers in Lithuania as the author of the shocking play "Roberto Zucco". After his death, he became famous all over the world, became a classic of modern French dramaturgy and one of the most translated and staged playwrights. Koltès opened up new fields of theatrical play, combining new dramaturgical structures with classical poetic language, thus creating a unique resonance of metaphors. His plays depict a modern world where human relationships are governed by the laws of negotiation and the struggle for power and survival. The play "West Quay" was written in 1983.
