"I really don't like this word - purification. For some reason it is associated with death for me. I don't know why. But like some kind of connection, like embalming the body after death. I don't know why. Cleansing, cleansing... Some strange word, I don't like it. <...> For me, this is a restoration process, which means returning to being: who I really am, what is innate, what is acquired."
Partially documentary audiovisual performance "Restore" (lit. restore") - about searching for oneself and returning to the true "I". How much does the environment affect us and our identity? To what extent do we ourselves, influenced by the environment, unconsciously change and manipulate our identities, distancing ourselves from authenticity, uniqueness, and self? The environment and one's own expectations for oneself, demands, projections grow layer by layer with walls that are more and more depressing, pressuring. Walls thicken, expand, imprison so much that we forget who we really are. How much time and effort is needed for those walls to wear down and disappear?
Using documentary video and audio recordings, performance elements, the creators invite the onlookers to analyze questions of human identity together.

“I really don't like this word – cleansing. For some reason, it makes me think of death. I don't know why. But it feels like it's connected somehow, like embalming a body after death. I don't know why. Cleansing, purifying... It's a strange word, and I don't like it. <...> To me, it's a process of restoration, which means returning to existence: who I really am, what is innate, and what is learned."
The partially documentary audiovisual performance "Restore" explores self-discovery and returning to the true self. How much does our environment influence us and our identity? How much do we, unknowingly affected by our surroundings, change and manipulate our identities, drifting away from authenticity, uniqueness, and our true selves? The expectations of the environment and our own expectations build layer upon layer of walls around us. These walls press down, grow thicker, expand, and imprison us, to the point where we forget who we really are. How much time and effort does it take for these walls to crumble and disappear?
Using documentary video and audio recordings, as well as performance elements, the creators invite the audience to reflect on the question of human identity.
