Are children doomed to repeat the lives of their parents, or can they break out of the generational vicious circle? A modern retelling of perhaps the most popular Lithuanian fairy tale "Eglė Žalčių karalienė", which reveals the relationship between mother Eglė and daughter Drebulė. This is a story about the courage to be yourself and the ability to find yourself again when lost.

"A dark figure appears in the corridor of an underwater palace. It holds a candle. The light from the candle reflects on the wet stone walls. The figure moves confidently, so it does not make a sound. She reaches the stairs, climbs up the hatch in the ceiling and climbs out to the surface of the island, runs to the other side of the island, where she is already waiting boat..."

In a live performance, narrator Milda Varnauskaitė weaves together Lithuanian mythology and folklore with an original interpretation of the tale. With her words, Milda creates a rich world of images in which the secrets of Žaltis Palace are revealed.
