Pilėnai - pagan castle surrounded by legends in Žemaitia, XIV century. having experienced an assault. After two days of fierce fighting, the people of Piles realized that the invasion of the attacking crusaders was successful, so they, not wanting to give up, took a desperate idea - to turn their weapons against themselves and their relatives.

When the artists Matas Dirginciu and Naubert Jasinskas reconsider the history of Pilenes, the axis of analysis becomes heroic traditions and constructs of patriarchy. In the face of the threat of war and the threat of extinction, ideas of masculinity are strengthened.
