"Almost happy" is a performance inspired by Jurgis Kunčinas' novel "Tūla" for gymnasts. The author of the performance idea, R. Klezys, focuses on communicating with teenagers on topical topics. This is his fourth mono -performance. This time the theme of love is chosen to interpret the novel from the list of compulsory literature.
The performance is not intended to literally restore J. Kunčin's work. A performative lecture format has been used for artistic interpretation. The show begins with the presentation of documentary details about the circumstances of the novel, which eventually come to life on the stage.
The name of the writer was inspired by A. Marcinkevičiūtė's documentary, which is used in the performance. The drama of passionate love caused by anxious emotion, when the hero is both happy and unhappy at the same time. This state is close to a young person looking for his or her identity and trying to understand the feelings of first love in his adolescence.
