Cult British playwright Mark Ravenhill created the play "Shopping and Fucking" in 1996. It was introduced in Lithuania for the first time in 1999. At the "New Drama Action", where the reading of the play took place. The director Oskars Korshunov created a performance based on the play with the same name, and with it the Oskars Korshunov Theater (OKT) was born. The Youth Theater presents a performance based on this play for today's youngest generation. Its representatives could be the children of the creators of that performance. This provokes the question: how do children's attitudes differ from their parents'?

When the play "Shopping and fucking" shook the Lithuanian theater scene at the end of the last century, the most attention was paid to its shocking aspects: characters and situations that had been kept quiet until then. Today, when it is increasingly difficult to surprise the audience with such themes, the essential question of the play remains relevant: is there a place for real feelings in today's society? - says the director of the play, Jonas Kuprevičius.

In the play "Shopping and Fucking" memorable roles are created by talented actors of the youngest generation, who have just finished theater acting studies at LMTA (course leader - Gintaras Raven). They tell about their generation - dependent and playing, lost and sensitive, traumatized and looking for their place, friendship, human closeness in the hypocritical consumer society of our time, where you can survive only with a dose of good humor...

The performance "Shopping and Fucking" is presented on Black Box, a platform for promoting and disseminating the creativity of young artists developed by the Youth Theater. It aims to establish continuous cooperation with promising young artists and implement and spread their creative ideas.

The performance is presented in cooperation with the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater.
