Three decades ago , when the term "highly sensitive person" was still almost unknown, the Austrian writer Robert Schneider set out to convey the world experienced by such a person in the novel "Sleep Brother" (1992). This novel has inspired many cinema, theater and opera creators.
Adomas Juška, the director who created the play at the Youth Theater based on this novel, emphasizes that it is a play about a particularly sensitive person - Johannes Elija Alder, about his relationship with love, music and death. About a person who lives, feels and finally dies without any compromises. About a person who is able to perceive music immediately, sensuously, and at the same time is able to accept and hear the world around him as music. About impossible sensitivity, impossible love.
