The multi-layered novel "The Fugitives" by Nobel laureate Olga Tokarczuk is a journey through time, world and consciousness in layers. He inspired the actress Aldona Vilutytė and the director Jonas Kuprevičius – creators of different theater generations – to create a chamber performance in which the themes of the novel would be explored through the intimate presence of one woman with herself. Being, trying to grasp thinking, which, although finite, is inevitably changing until the very end, is never silent and moves from one point to another. Being, trying to be an invisible observer of the world and people, learning to accept my anxiety and running. It is a journey of imagination through the structures of life and being, observing them through a small lens of consciousness.
As O. Tokarczuk writes, it is possible to see the world only fragmentarily, there will be no other way. There are moments, fragments, temporary configurations, which, as soon as they are formed, immediately disintegrate again.
