Born in the unfinished theater premises, the performance not only conveyed the moods and expectations of the theater people, but also seemed to grow out of that poor, mysterious vaulted space. While still rehearsing, the director insisted that it should not be called a performance, but a "theatrical evening". This impression of an unfinished stage work that does not penetrate a specific interpretation was preserved even after the release of the premiere in 2006. The director, together with the creative team and just five actors, immerses the audience in a very thick and evocative atmosphere, inviting them to engage in a gourmet stage game, to witness the birth of theater. In the performance, full of playfulness, improvisation, laughter, but also a strange "dreaminess", it is not the director, but the actors who rule. The improvisational virtuoso A. Žebrauskas and his incomparable A. Dapšis, the seemingly inexhaustible acting possibilities capture the audience's attention and force them to experience a whole range of various emotions. Although the director R. Tumin is interested in the theatricality of life or life itself as theater, in this performance he turns theater into life. The director gives the tendency of Vladimir (Didi) and Estragon (Gogo), the main characters of the play, to play, a shade of naive and sincere play, to the obviously theatrical situations of the play, life-like credibility, and as if "lightens" Beckett's linguistic game, makes it the character's identity. One of the biggest surprises of the play is that Vladimir and Estragon, usually depicted on stage as deformed and soulless automatisms of life, here they are full-blooded, whole, full of life characters, and this is one of the biggest strengths of the play. This "Waiting for Godot" is not permeated with drudgery, as it usually happens when you find yourself in the environment of a non-Kethic world. Freedom, life and creative excitement flow from the VMT stage. What opens up before us is the seemingly unremarkable everyday life of two friends, full of everything - both joys and disappointments, and, of course, nostalgia. And the mystical Godot, who is always awaited, seems to be just a valid excuse for the two friends to stay together. But who is he, really?
