Although the nuances of the story and plot of the classic play are taken into account, in this work an attempt is made to look at the search for the identity of a modern person from a different perspective - when external and image are more trusted than internal landmarks and values.

This is an unusual and innovative interpretation of the classics, which accommodates both the classic tragedy of Shakespeare and the modern supplement to its content, the innovative decision of the playwright Gabriele Labanauskaitė to look back at the youth of King Lear, during which and today's problems are revealed. These are shown through the conflict between generational differences and the duality of human personality. The material stands out for its cinematography, which allows the drama to be interpreted using a wide field of media - the action is not solved in the usual psychological way, but through the change of media, mixing of genres - the synthesis of music, video material and acting.

The director claims that the two most important themes here are toxic masculinity and self-hatred, upbringing through this feeling.

"The title of the play L. YRA S. is a kind of play on words, a secret whose meaning is revealed in the play," says playwright Gabrielė Labanauskaitė.
