The dance performance "Vienat" reflects on the constant movement of humanity towards destruction, in search of happiness and harmony, and the ability to be reborn after catastrophes - it turns to memory and the human body as a witness of history.
The decayed word "vienat" chosen for the title of the performance is found in the 17th century. In Daniel Klein's grammar, it is a synonym of the adverbs always, always, so it is associated with integrity, permanence.
The stage narrative of a dance performance is constructed by movement and associations, rejecting the word as the main tool - here the body, space and rhythm speak. Associations are more important than plot, presence is more important than motives. The movement does not illustrate, but reveals what often remains under the cultural layers - a living and vulnerable person.
The performance raises questions about the price and value of civilization, about a society where the abundance of information is no longer accompanied by the desire to understand, about the long-lived experience that we forget in our rush to renew.
Agnija Šeiko - choreographer, dancer, pedagogue, "Sheik's Dance" founder of the theater. The work stands out for its interdisciplinarity, sensitive approach to social issues, embedded art practices and connections of contemporary dance with music, visual arts and technology. In addition to dance performances, he also creates dance operas, performances, performances-excursions, musical and theatrical productions. Created more than three dozen performances of various genres, including: "Izadora" (2008), "Dykra" (2011), "Juliets" (2012), "Dior in Moscow" (2016), "Seasons" (2017), "Inflated" (2019), "Oneiro" (2020), "Indigo. Das Schliemann Project" (2022), "Onos". (2025), as well as dance performances for children "Baltoji lopšinė" etc.
The choreographer's works have been widely presented in Lithuania and abroad. in 2015 the choreographer was awarded the "Boris Dauguvietis Earring" for the direction and choreography of the contemporary dance and sound performance-excursion "Travelling Churches. Klaipėda / Mēmelis" and for the consistent development of interdisciplinary art. Other awards: "Golden Stage Cross", Vita Mozūraitė Prize, Lithuanian Government Culture and Art Prize, 2021. granted the title of Master of Culture of Klaipėda.
