Art student Una's life turns upside down in 24 hours. As Reykjavík mourns the worst traffic tragedy in the city's history, Una grieves in solitude: unlike her friends, she keeps a secret and cannot openly mourn. Icelandic director Rúnar Rúnarsson's emotionally complex film about loss opened the Cannes Festival's Another Look program: alongside mourning and human vulnerability, the beauty and resilience of youth shines through, reminding us that a new day has dawned after tragedy.
