The dance troupe Ulna marks her 5th birthday with a special project-a cycle of contemporary dance seminars "(to) Dance". In November, intensive activities are for young people who have already advanced dance (14-29) who will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge, deepen their skills and inspire new experiences. During this cycle, the strongest and most interesting artists of Lithuania and foreign contemporary dance and movement will invite you to explore the boundaries of contemporary dance!

About the lecturer

Vilma Pitrinaitė is a Lithuanian dancer, choreographer and director who lives and creates between Lithuania, Belgium and France. She graduated from the Strasbourg National Theater Conservatoire, Montpelier and Toulouse choreography centers, as well as at the Avignon Dance Conservatory.
Vilma combines dance, theater and performance in her work, explores motion opportunities to talk about the world and create alternative ways of being. She collaborated with international directors and choreographers, including Philippe Grandrieux, François Verret, Military Pane, Patrick Bonté, Nicole Mossoux, as well as aura of Lithuanian Dance Theater and Sheiko Dance Theater.
As an artist, Vilma is the founder and artistic director of the "Dancing Seal Company" (LT) and We Compagnie. Her works were presented at prestigious European festivals and theaters. She was awarded the Golden Stage Cross as the best dancer.

The seminar will be examined:

Vilma believes that movement has the potential to talk about the world and create temporary ways of other existence. She began learning a R round style to convey the idea of ​​resistance with her body and create her ritual against helplessness in the performance "When You're Alone in Your Forest ..." - so the workshops are not about the misappropriation of a ray, but about its experience as a universal starting point. In this workshop, she invites participants to explore the movements of the Ring (RIMP) not as a form of street dance, but as a universal point of body language that can become a ritual against helplessness.
