Pazaislis Kamaldulia Monastery and St. The enigmatic attraction of the Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary has long stimulated people's imagination. The monastery was founded in the second half of the 17th century by the chancellor of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania Kristupas Zigmantas Pacas. The construction of the monastery began in 1667. The mountain on which the building was planned was named MontePacis (Mountain of Peace).

Today, the monastery counts more than three centuries of history, surrounded by legends, it is fascinating with its unique baroque appearance and colorful surroundings. During the excursion we will visit a monastery and a church. The guide will tell you about the Kamaldulian monks and other owners of the monastery, about its founders and the most famous masters who worked here, and will reveal the secrets of the frescoes.

Start of the tour: Pažaislis Kamalduuliai monastery (T. Masiulio st. 31, Kaunas). The guide will be waiting for you at the Pazaislis Monastery near the cash desk.

Excursion ticket price: 16 Eur for an adult; 13 EUR for a senior, a student. Children up to 18 years old, participating in the excursion together with adult family members, are free.

All participants of the excursion must additionally purchase a visitor's ticket for the Pažaislis Monastery Ensemble at the museum box office: EUR 6 for an adult, EUR 3 for a schoolchild, student, senior citizen. From April 1, 2025, the price of a visitor's ticket to the Pažaislis monastery: 10 EUR for an adult, 5 euros for a student, a senior citizen. during: from Tuesday to Friday - 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Saturdays 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Booked tours can be conducted in Lithuanian, English, Russian or German.
