It has long been maturing to revive the works of tango in the interwar period in Lithuania on the Vilnius Tango Theater stage. Born in Argentina, Tango, underwent the ocean and wandering around Europe, the 20th century. At the beginning of the 19th century, he also stumbled upon Lithuania. Here he was met ambiguously - he was admired and resented as everywhere. A special evening dedicated to Lithuanian Independence Day. And this is no coincidence - tango is a dance of freedom that finds a place in the minds and hearts of free people.
For the first time in theater history, Tango speaks in Lithuanian - revealing the beauty, elegance and passion of the legendary interwar creators Daniel Dolski and Antanas Šabaniauskas singing tango songs ;
This show confirms a little -known but important truth: the tango was danced and sung in Lithuania in the interwar period, just a few decades after its appearance in Argentina.
