The mead festival is the first and only mead festival in Lithuania. What's more, it's not only a festival, but also a conference and the selection of the best Lithuanian mead.
The festival is an opportunity to get to know Lithuanian producers, taste, chat and learn. You can also find out and taste guests from abroad.
The conference is a lot of interesting presentations: honey sommelier, professional beekeepers, the best mead producers in Lithuania, marketers...
The competition is an opportunity to check your drinks for both professionals and amateurs. Drinks are evaluated by the best mead judges in Lithuania.
Everyone knows the word "mead", but very few know what it really is. Some mistakenly believe that it is a very strong alcoholic drink, some believe that it is necessarily a very sweet drink.
Two friends, who have been actively traveling and judging various international mead competitions for several years, decided to organize the first mead festival in Lithuania. It is unbelievable that mead has never had its own festival in Lithuania.
March 22 will be so extensive and interesting that we hope to sell all the tickets. Their quantity will be limited, because the event space - art factory LOFTAS - is limited. The festival includes everything related to the ingredients, production or sale of mead. Maybe that's why the organizers didn't even think of a twisted name for the festival - it will simply be "mead festival"!
Only people over 20 years old are admitted to the festival. Photographs and videos may be taken during the event and this material may be seen in public space.
