Excursions at the National Visitor Center for Protected Areas
Choose an excursion (for up to 25 persons):
"Discover and get to know the protected territories of Lithuania" (recommended for visitors of all ages) The excursion takes place in the interactive exposition of the National Visitor Center. It is like a symbolic gateway to Lithuanian national and regional parks, sanctuaries and reserves. How many protected areas do we have? Why are they established and what is their unique value? What biodiversity is found in them? Upon arrival, you will be able to hear the voices of protected birds, visit the "Bats" movie theater, and the questionnaire table will answer your questions.
We recommend this tour for first-time visitors to the National Visitor Center.
"Get to know the trees of Lithuania" (recommended for visitors of all ages, takes place in the warm season) During the excursion, we will walk in the Sapiegii Park, learning to recognize the trees growing here, the diversity of forests in Lithuania. You will learn about the ecological services provided by trees and the threats invasive species pose to native vegetation.
"Landscape diversity in protected areas" (recommended for students in grades 8-12) During the tour, you will learn how the landscape was formed in Lithuania, what components make it up, what makes it special and why it is protected. In the interactive sandbox, you will be able to create the landscape with your own hands and observe the formation of wind and tornadoes, how precipitation forms and accumulates, how hills and plains are formed, and try to simulate a volcanic eruption!

The price of a one-time visitor ticket for an adult is 2 euros. Visitor's ticket with a discount - 1 euro (for pupils, students, old-age pensioners). Free visit - for children up to 7 years old, pupils of child welfare institutions, socially assisted children and persons with disabilities.
Payment only by bank card at the visitor center or by bank transfer (invoice).
