Žiemiškos Užupio istorijos: ekskursija Vilniuje (MIM)

❄️♨️During the festive period, we make the Užupis excursion even more festive: not only with some new, winter stories, but also with tea in a special place, from which you can see the whole of Vilnius. Only during this excursion will Altana open its doors to us - a tower on which exotic fruits grew in the interwar period, and now we will be able to admire winter Vilnius while sipping a warm drink!

One ​​from Užupis articles of the constitution declare the right to hot water, heating in winter and a tiled roof - it means that winter is being taken seriously. This neighboring republic has its own holiday calendar: the New Year comes in the spring, the Christmas tree is decorated later than in other parts of Lithuania, and once Santa Claus came from Lapland itself in October. Extraordinary carnivals were held in Užupis, for which the most famous artists of the city prepared, magical cats live here, angels prophesy a new beginning, and before the war, Jews used to place eight-pointed candles in their windows. Winter stories about Užupis will be different from summer stories: more smoke and fire, hot beer and piglets, ice and floods, haiku for winter and self-respect.
