Excursion "Motives of M. K. Čiurlionis Curtain and Theater Spirit" 1909-1914. The Vilnius Lithuanian Cultural Society "Rūta" was operating in the premises of the present Vilnius Small Theater, which attracted several intellectuals of the time, and to paint the curtain of this Society was entrusted to M. K. Čiurlionis. The creative process was accompanied by challenges and challenges, and the legend of the stage curtain remained to be present until today. During the excursion, the focus is on the connection of M. K. Čiurlionis to this building, his art motifs - namely the curtains, which the artist's wife Sofija Kymantaitė added to the final elements and symbols. Currently, the reproduction of the curtain, which is met at the Vilnius Small Theater, attracts its vision, the choice of color in M. K. Čiurlionis' work and the enigmatic of the visual conveyed. The images expressed in the figure, especially the motif of the altar, still shape the spirit of Vilnius Small Theater and aesthetics of performances. Interestingly, this year the sculptural bell composition unveiled by the founder of theater, R. Tumin, integrates the Chiurlionian motifs that reflect the director's aesthetic gaze, creating a strong cultural dialogue between different artists and artistic spheres, different periods and contexts. The excursion reveals the artistic versatility of M. K. Čiurlionis, the dialogue between different societies, integrating the past into the thinking and activities of the present. The tourists will have the opportunity not only to hear more about the history of Vilnius Small Theater, but also to delve deeper into the work of painting, to get to know M. K. Čiurlionis' vision and to use cultural symbols. The tour will be led by Vincentas Klipčius, Head of the Literary Part of Vilnius Small Theater. 2020 Received a Master's degree in the Humanities at Vilnius University. 2020-2024.
