The new musical project "Gala žvaigdės": theater, classics and variety will meet on one stage.

This autumn, fans of Lithuanian music and theater will have the opportunity to experience the new, solemn project "Gala žvaigdės", which will connect three different worlds of the stage. Singer and actress Oneida Kunsunga, singer Vaida Genytė and singer Egidijus Sipavičius, who is called the gentleman of the stage, together with a professional string quartet, pianist Giedris Nak and guitarist Kostas Balčiūnas, will present an elegant program that will intertwine classical music, old pop tunes and theater aesthetics.

The concert will feature songs by the actors: "Birds" by Kostos Smorigins, "The Matrix" by Saulius Mykolaitis, works from Lithuanian musicals - "The Devil's Bride", "Love and Death in Verona", as well as from classic films: "Gladiator", "The Great Show Master". However, Lithuanian pop tunes will also be unforgettable: "Nut blossom", "Field flower", "Summer, summer". The Italian pop song "Bella Ciao" and Egidijus Sipavičius's own piece "Discoteka" will also sound somewhat unexpectedly in a string arrangement together with Vaida Genyte and Oneida Kunsunga.

The creators of "Gala žvaigdaždas" promise an evening in which not only the music will be important, but also the atmosphere, so new ones are created especially for this project arrangements of works, refined and delicate scenography and exclusive costumes, all of which will allow the audience to immerse themselves in a festive, elegant musical journey.

"We wanted to create a concert where different genres of music and theater met, but were united by an uplifting, festive emotion. The dramaturgy of the evening was created in such a way that each performance was an independent experience, and the whole event was like a single, elegant a story," says Oneida Kunsunga.

The evening program will resound classical arias and well-known pop music melodies, enriched with string arrangements. The entire program is put together like a musical story - from sensitive and nostalgic moments to impressive climaxes.

Vaida Genytė says that the uniqueness of this project lies in the meeting of different artists.

"All three of us are very different, so unexpected musical dialogues are born on stage. I think this is what makes this program special - each one of us we bring our color to it, but together we create one common story", says the artist.

The professional musicians joining the performers will play much more than the role of accompanists. The musical textures created by the string quartet will complement each piece with new colors, and the piano and guitar will give the program even more dynamics and emotion.

"I am always interested in looking for unexpected musical combinations. In this program, the classical sound will meet pop and theater elements, so I believe that the audience will have a truly exceptional evening," says Egidijus. Sipavičius.
