Beautiful, heart-touching folk songs accompany and delight us on various occasions since childhood. It has already become a beautiful tradition to meet on the last Saturday of January at the "Grok, Jurgeli" festival and spend a warm and memorable evening with the coolest bands of Aukštaitija, who present the most beautiful songs to the audience and compete for the right to represent their country in the republican "Grok, Jurgeli" festival that will be held in the fall.
We invite all lovers of folk music, residents of Birzea and guests of the city on January 31. at 3 p.m. meet at the Biržai cultural center at the "Grok, Jurgeli 2026" celebration, sing together, have fun and choose the band you like the most. The following bands will compete for your likes:

Ignalina cultural center village chapel RINGĖ,
SMILTELĖ chapel of Pasvaly cultural center,
Radviliškis cultural center chapel OLD KNOWN,
Panevėžys cultural center Tiltagaliai chapel LĖVENA,
Panevėžys district Children's and Youth Chapel of the Smilgiai Cultural Center SMILGENĖ,
The guest of the celebration is the children's and youth chapel KARKLYNĖLIS from Raudondvaris (Kaunas district).
The joint band of participants will be conducted by maestro Audrius Dervinis.
The host of the event is actress Birute Prekevičiūtė.
