We invite you to welcome the New Year at the Kaunas Philharmonic for moody melodies and the most wonderful arias. Two of the most prominent groups of Kaunas - Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra and Kaunas State Choir, conducted by maestro Konstantinos Obelianos, and special guests - Ukrainian opera star Kseniya Bakhritdinova and harmonica virtuoso from Italy Gianluca Littera will create a real festive mood on the last evening of this year.

In this concert, the audience will be surprised by an unusual instrument for the philharmonic stage - the harmonica, which was brought to the prestigious concert halls by the Italian virtuoso GIANLUCA LITTERA. He is one of the few soloists in the world who performs classical, contemporary and jazz music on this instrument. The artist's repertoire includes symphonic and chamber music works by Gordon Jacob, Robert Farnon, Vaughan Williams, William Walton, Luciano Chailly, James Moody and others. compositions. G. Jacob's divertissement for accordion and string quartet was recorded on a CD as one of the highlights, and in collaboration with the Brazilian composer and conductor Gil Jardim, the accordion virtuoso prepared a Brazilian music project. in 2010 with the Santa Cecilia Academy Orchestra, G. Littera performed "Immobile 2", a new composition for accordion and orchestra written for him by the Oscar laureate Ennio Morricone, conducted by the composer himself.
