Kaunas Philharmonic invites you to a concert by the whole family, young martyr Emanuel Jakel. This traditional Lithuanian instrument can only be called folk songs and presents a program to the listeners that reveal all the colors of the martyrs. The concert will also feature Emmanuel grandfather guitarist Gintaras Jakelis, Kankliai Ensemble Alis Cordae Davis, Modestas Ulberkis, a student of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater, pianist Dalia Krunglevičienė. ="Text-Align: Justify;"> Young performer, winner of many international and national competitions, Emanuel Jakelis, who was just two years old, began playing a violin, and four had already played the guitar and beat the drum. At the age of 5, he entered Kaunas Boys' Choral Singing School "Varpelis" and started singing and playing the piano. Later, he became a student of the Kankles class of Kaunas Sacred Music School and immersed himself in the music of Kankliai. True, a few years ago, Emanuel tried himself and, unfortunately in the harp specialty, this instrument remained aside, and the kankles became the only and main everyday engine of joy for a young artist. To date, his martyr teacher is Sister Pia Metrikytė OSB.

Emanuel plays the kankles for six years. He also sings in the Improvizes ensemble, plays in Kankliai Ensembles Alis Cordae David, Corde, often accompanies and supports kankles both in the choir and vocal classmates, accompanies other instruments, plays St. At George's Martyr Church, he is often invited to play at various celebrations and events.

He is very active in various international competitions, famous for his kankles around the world and, of course, in Lithuania. Last year's prestigious Bali Dvarionas Piano and String Competition won the title of winner and was nominated for the best -performing work of B. Dvarion, in Italy, Latvia, Estonia and Finland. Among the many winnings of the young Manklinist Grand Prix, some were extremely memorable: Amicitia Sonans International Competition, where Emanuel won the Grand Prix and played in Kaunas Philharmonic Hall, 2023. The Super Grand Prix won the TRIGZDNES competition in June. In this competition, 20 minutes before the show, a string of martyrs stopped, without which it was not possible to play the prepared piece, but Emanuel decided to play and with the help of the teacher in a few minutes arranged and performed it.
