In the 18th century. In the 2nd half, a very abundant generation of Czech composers, whose representatives created not only in the Czech Republic or in Vienna, but for various reasons, spread throughout Europe. At that time, the classic style was already in the fields of clavery, instrumental and symphony music. It was the Czech composers that had the greatest influence on the emergence of the new style. The author was surrounded by fame and great success until their place was taken by the great geniuses by transferring new musical ideas to other dimensions. The Czech composers were gradually forgotten and the music they created were silent. But without them, neither Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, neither Ludwig van Beethoven nor Franz Schubert had something to take inspiration.
The program of this evening will feature once known, later forgotten, and now as if newly discovered by Josef Antonin Shtepan, Leopoldo Koželuho, Ji de Ji’s Antonín Benda and his nephew Friedrich Ludwig Benda Sonata. These are works full of energy, optimism, playfulness and lyrics. Nijolė Dorotėja Beniušytė, an old student in Italy, will help the famous harpsichord G. Lukšaitė-Mrazkova.
