As the festive bustle and winter surrounded the city, the Kaunas State Philharmonic becomes a special oasis of music. Every year, in February, pianist Darius Mažintas presents intimate Chopin evenings in this cozy space of Kaunas. This time, all four of Chopin's ballads will sound, one of his deepest and most dramatic works, which holds the whole panorama of the human spirit: from the gentle whisper to the stormy ecstasy. These are works in which music turns into a narrative - full of tension, contradictions, enlightenment and tranquility. Each ballad is like a separate novel, but they form one powerful mural of human feelings and spiritual experiences.
Darius Mažintas, famous for his special interpretation and his ability to convey the most subtle emotions, will open the world of Chopin at these concerts, allowing listeners to feel every twist of ballads as if they were told for the first time.
