In November, the contemporary music festival traditionally returns to Kaunas scenes, and this year invites you to 5 events that encourage you to look close to 5 exclusive projects of Lithuanian and foreign artists.
November 18 The first concert "Echo" of the festival will be performed at the Kaunas Philharmonic Great Hall.
Echo is a musical study that explores the relationship between sound, space, word and technology through the prism of contemporary music. The project aims to reflect contemporary social, political and technological processes related to an ambulance, Fake news (misinformation) and echo chamber (audio rooms) phenomena. Modern technologies, such as social media and artificial intelligence, enable new spaces that spread at high speed and often distort. Echo Chambers is a phenomenon of social media where people enter into social groups based solely on personal political and social views. This creates selective information filtration, often regardless of real, reasonable information and others' opinions. The project deals with how contemporary music can respond to these phenomena, how it can help to understand the world through sound, resonance and modern technology.
The project prepares three world premieres - Rūta Vitkauskaitė, Ramón Saugas and Alexander F. Müller.
