Kaunas Brass Orchestra (chief conductor Giedrius Vaznys) invites you to an exclusive autumn concert “Musica Academia - the most professional and classic orchestra year project, which combines a powerful strength of wind instruments and world -class composers.

This time, Kristupas Glinskas, a young saxophone talent, on the international stage, will decorate the stage. The soloist is currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music in Orhus, and in Kaunas he will give listeners a temperamental work of Luis Serrano Alarcón Concertang, a passionate tango, where the voice of the saxophone becomes a whirlwind of emotions.
You will hear a colorful program revealing the 20th -21st centuries in the concert. Symphonic brass music:
· Samuel Hazo - Sevens - Energy -filled creation marked by seven magic;
· Luis Serrano Alarcón - Concertango - Opus of tango with soloist Christopher Glinsku;
· James Barnes - Symphonic Overture - a festive elevation and widespread orchestra colors;
· Eric Whitacre - Lux Aurumque - a sensitive and transparent piece that awakens the inner light;
· Alfred Reed - Othello - a monumental work inspired by William Shakespeare's drama that embodies love, jealousy and tragic fate.
As in the fall every year, the oak tree invites you to embark on a musical journey that combines strength and subtlety, classics and modernity, young talent and mature experience of the orchestra. Musica Academia is an invitation to experience the lively power of symphonic wind music and discover its highest peaks.
