Cellist AUGUSTAS GOCENTAS, returning to his homeland from Finland, together with his mother, pianist RAMINTA GOCENTIENE, invites listeners to a special evening "From elegant classicism to Baltic soul". In this concert, music will become a journey through time and space, during which you will hear Luigi Boccherini's energetic Sonata, full of sincere joy, Franz Schubert's lyrical "Arpeggione" sonata, surrounded by motives of melancholy and hope, Balis Dvarion's play "By the Lake", depicting the natural landscapes of Lithuania, where calm lakes become a reflection of the human soul. There will also be a delicate and rarely performed romance by Jean Sibelius, reeking of Nordic romance, and Anatoly Shenderov's "Hommage" for cello solo, based on Jewish themes, highlighting the voice of the instrument and its limitless possibilities.
