"This time I am returning to Lithuania with a very pleasant program, which includes even two great composers on their honorable anniversaries: Arvo Pärt is celebrating his 90th anniversary, and the whole of Lithuania is celebrating the 150th anniversary of the birth of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis," says ONUTĖ GRAŽINYTĖ, a pianist of the young generation who is making Lithuania's name famous in the world.
The performer presents a program that combines works from different eras and styles. The concert will feature the works of M. K. Čiurlionis, full of symbolism, mysticism, echoes of folk music, testifying to the laws of harmony of the universe, the limitlessness of nature and the simplicity of man, the ballads of F. Chopin, characterized by a dynamic change from the plains of the most sensitive lyricism to the peaks of drama, and the minimalist, meditative works of A. Pärt, which will give the program moments of peace and reflection. In the words of A. Pärt: "Music must be so pure that light can shine through it." Therefore, the pianist expects and awaits a bright, hopeful, fellowship-filled evening with the audience.
