August 22 The 31st Pažaislis Music Festival will once again invite listeners to the Pažaislis Monastery, where the most beautiful melodies of Broadway musicals will sound in its cozy courtyard.
The Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra and two soloists from the USA - Marnie Breckenridge (soprano) and Franco Pomponi (tenor) will perform on stage. The joint team of performers will be conducted by the well-known maestro Constantine Orbelian.
The concert program is a musical journey through different eras of Broadway history. Songs from musicals from the so-called golden era (1940-1960), works from the mega-musical period (1970-1990) and contemporary Broadway hits will be played.
